More Daisies

My contractor was here this morning.  Seems my disaster is not going to be all that difficult.  Oh yes, ripping up the whole kitchen, but new cabinets and hardwood floors all over my downstairs, per my insurance, isn't exactly a tearful solution.
Good news.  The downstairs is going to me a holy mess.  Better news:  I have to stay home to supervise the project, upstairs, where my art room is.
Best news:  More daisies.  LOL
Drew these first.  Can see the pencil lines which I hate.  Going to mess with it, but that's usually when they end up in The Box Under The Desk.  So, just in case, here's #7 before I go at it again.  Colors on this scan are not exactly right.  A little messy.  Tried to do some wet on wet here as well.

  1. The daisies are exquisite. The centers perfect. You are improving in leaps and bounds. Goes to show that practice makes all the difference. I'm inspired by your self discipline. Also that you are reading. I do for a while, the get away from it. Right now I'm reading "Lisette's List". By Susan Vreeland. Have you read her books? I just love them. If you haven't im sure you would love them too. What happened that you need a new kitchen? I'm really jealous:)))))

    1. Thank you! I find I do better if I focus on one thing. It gets boring to look at, but somehow it gives me a deeper perspective of what I am doing. Trying to sketch, glaze and do wet on wet, practice leaving white and negative painting. The daisies seem to give me the opportunity for all. Do appreciate your feedback so much. Am trying very hard to scan and post here to make myself more accountable, AND keep up with the practice.
Have not read Susan Vreeland's book, but, looked up the review and sounds wonderful. Love to read, so will add that to my list. Thanks for the tip.
Dishwasher leaked, so new floor all over downstairs of condo.( compliments of insurance) I had carpet and tile and am doing "urban gray" hardwood. I think it will be lovely, but OMG the mess. I'm about ready to go over the edge. LOL
